Sonpen.com was founded in 2004 out of an ardent desire to offer a simple educational and relevant informational platform to benefit anyone in search of objective and constructive inputs. We know that there are many well established forums claiming to objectively educate and inform but we also know that there is always a niche that will not be satisfied by “mainstream” and the “all go to forum”. Our aim is to cater to all those who share our vision of “doing what we can, when we still can to make our world a better place and make our journey on earth much more enjoyable”.
Even though we started out addressing a broad range of subjects, we have come to realize that focusing on a specific one and giving it all we can, will make a better impact. This is why the new sonpen.com is going to be much more focused on the age old yet vital subject of “Health and Wellness”. We know by facts and recognize all the great scientific achievements that have contributed to minimize mortality due to infections or many other health conditions which would have been considered death sentences less than 100 years ago. We acknowledge scientific breakthrough which have contributed to better the way we farm our lands and maximize our harvests; however, we are also aware of all the growing negative implications of abusive genetic manipulations of seeds and plant species, and the overwhelming quantity of pharmaceutical drugs and personal care products on the market that have been proven to procure more harm than good. We know and believe in the true power of nature and that much of the beneficial scientific discoveries have been based on or born out of the mimicking of simple yet potent scientific mechanisms of protection, restoration, regeneration, provision and so on. Therefore we find it imperative to uphold and promote the full integration of positive/beneficial scientific innovation and proven natural virtues for the sake of maintaining one’s health and contributing to a well balanced being.
The benefits of an evidence based (scientifically proven – whenever possible) “Natural health and wellness” system are far more reaching and do positively influence the key pillars of our societies: economic, politic and environmental dynamics. As a rule of thumb we all know that it is always better to prevent a disaster than to handle one after it had occurred. Proven preventive measures will most certainly lessen economical, political and environmental burdens and free up more resources for prosperity and fulfillment of life.
Olivier Agouna-Deciat, The founder of sonpen.com, has a graduate degree in Biomedical Sciences (with a concentration in bacterial pathogenicity) and also underwent 4 years of medical studies prior to that. He had the privilege of gaining research experience in the fields of Bacteriology and Immunology while working for prestigious medical research establishments. He is currently involved in safe personal care R&D /formulation and devotes much time to research and evaluate natural resources that can be proven beneficial and applicable to health care, personal care and wellness in general.
